At the beginning of 2021, Shenzhen Expressway successfully acquired the 299MW wind power project of Laojunmiao Wind Farm in Changji Mulei, Xinjiang Zhundong New Energy Base through the new energy company, with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan. Xinjiang is rich in wind energy resources. The Mulei project is the largest single wind power project put into operation in Xinjiang in 2020. It will be sent to East China through the Zhundong-Wannan UHV DC transmission channel, with excellent consumption conditions and significant investment value. It is estimated that in 2021, the on-grid electricity will be 655 million kWh, which will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 550,000 tons.
