Nanping Expressway is my country's transportation system and the city's first government engineering agent construction project, creating a precedent for the "agent construction system". It is a key livelihood project in Shenzhen and was awarded as a soil and water conservation demonstration project by the Ministry of Water Resources. The first phase of the project was completed and opened to traffic in 2006, with a total length of 18.07 kilometers; the second phase of the project was opened to traffic in 2012, with a total length of 15.525 kilometers. The completion of the Shenzhen Nanping Expressway Project has further shortened the distance between Shenzhen City and Pingshan District, and has played a strong role in promoting the economic and social development of Pingshan District.
